Mule Deer Hunting
Mule Deer
For many hunters, nothing typifies western hunting more than mule deer. They thrive in a vast range of habitats from the prickly desert bottoms to the mixed conifer highlands, and everything in between.
While the vast majority of mule deer hunters see are young and rarely exceed 180″, in some areas these animals grow into giants. In Arizona and New Mexico, hunting the best areas is a tough draw, with the odds ranging from difficult to impossible. But large deer can be found in every unit they inhabit in increasingly small numbers.
The best chance to hunt trophy class mule deer is through a landowner tag. We have several ranches in Mexico where 180″- 200″+ mule deer can be hunted. And for those seeking the western experience, many Arizona hunts are available in easy to draw units or over-the-counter archery archery seasons.
