ELK HUNTING

Rocky Mountain Elk

Both Arizona and New Mexico are among the best states to hunt elk. Mild winters, moderate to low predation, and excellent habitat grow mature bulls with excellent genetics. But because the hunting is so good, the opportunities are limited.

Both states use a limited lottery draw to issue hunting permits. And the best hunts are highly competitive, and difficult to draw.

For those who prefer not to play the odds in the draw, however, we have landowner tags available for the state of New Mexico. These hunts are available during the rut.

All of our elk hunts are guided 1×1 and only offered fully outfitted. Season lengths vary, but in most cases we book the entire length. In NM most of the seasons we hunt are limited to 5 days. In AZ, they are either 7 or 14 days. For early Archery hunts, we recommend all hunters considered booking the entire 14 day hunt.

Since all our elk hunts are a custom built experience, we recommend consulting with one of our team to find the right hunt for you. We can help you apply and build bonus points in Arizona towards the hunt of a lifetime or we can acquire a public or private land permit for you in New Mexico.
